Now this is what it’s like when worlds collide!” – Powerman 5000

Ubisoft announced something i’ve long been waiting for, two lead Assassin’s meeting on the battlefield or at least in a storyline together. Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be traveling to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to meet/fight Eivor! The story explanation is being kept kinda vague but that’s all right with me cause right now i’m finishing up my play-through of Valhalla so theres no rush for me to get to this DLC story. There’s also a new story mission in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for your chosen protagonist (Kassandra or Alexios) as well. Pretty shocking considering that game released quite awhile ago and wrapped up with the Atlantis storyline.

Ubisoft also announced another expansion coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the form of a complete Norse story. You’ll take on the role of Havi (Odin) like you did during Valhalla but it a much more expansive way. This expansion strikes me as odd for the simple fact that it’s not part of the season pass but a stand alone offering and i don’t know how i feel about it. While i haven’t finished the story in the main game yet this story they’re offering in March of 2022 is more likely the end of our time with Eivor. I’ve been reading the comments about some saying this is Ubisoft’s answer to God of War or God of War: Ragnarok, but i think the base Valhalla game and God of War were in development around the same time but released at different times God of War in 2017 and Valhalla in 2020. The cost for the expansion aptly named ”Dawn of Ragnarok” isn’t known but if you ask me it’s more likely $19.99 – $29.99 USD since they’re claiming its 30-40 hours of gameplay/story.

I’ve enjoyed my time with all three prequel-ish Assassin’s Creed games Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla and i would love to write a full review for the later once i’ve completed the main story in that game. Either way i just wanted to share my excitement for the free crossover content in Kassandra Vs Eivor that released December 14th and touch upon the massive expansion coming to Valhalla in March of next year. Feel free to drop me a tweet or comment below with your thoughts on the upcoming DLC and look for more Assassin’s Creed write ups as the expansion gets closer to release.
